2. Turn off the HVAC system:

Before you begin cleaning, turn off the HVAC system to avoid spreading dust and debris throughout your home.

3. Remove vent covers:

Using a screwdriver, remove the vent covers from the air ducts. Wash them thoroughly using warm soapy water and let them dry completely.

4. Vacuum the ducts:

Attach the long hose attachment to your vacuum cleaner and insert it into the air ducts. Move it back and forth to remove any dust, dirt, or debris. Pay extra attention to corners and bends in the ductwork.

5. Brush and sweep:

Using a brush or broom, gently scrub the walls of the air ducts to dislodge any stubborn dirt or debris. Sweep away the loosened debris with a clean cloth or rag.

6. Clean the registers:

Wipe down the registers or vent covers with a damp cloth to remove any remaining dust or dirt.
